Cuirassier helmet reassigned to the Dragoons, Third Republic. The helmet is made entirely of steel. It comprises a cup, a visor and a neck guard, both edged with a bent brass band straddling the outer rim, a headband, two chinstraps, a crest, a black horsehair mane approximately 80 cm long, and a plume holder. All fittings are made of brass. The cup is a single, stamped piece, with no hallmarks on the rear. One dent.
