A COLLECTION OF TEN DOCUMENTS FROM THE FAMILY OF ADMIRAL BRUAT (1796–1855): A LETTER from the Colmar City Archives dated 1957 detailing the history of the Bruat family; A copy of the Bruat family tree from 1630 to 1830 (difficult to read). LETTER from the Ministry of War awarding the Military Medal to Jean Pierre Bruat on 14 April 1900. CERTIFICATE of good character and French nationality issued by Saint Aubin Town Hall to Pierre Joseph Bruat in 1926 (town hall stamp). LETTER from 1929 from the Society of Former Pupils of the Écoles Nationales d’Arts et Métiers addressed to Pierre Bruat following his application for membership; a French essay by pupil Bruat dated 20 March 1928 on industrial progress. LETTER from 1930 addressed to Mr Bruat by a master mariner from the Messageries Maritimes shipping company in Marseille.
