Description
IWC. Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar, ref. IW375803, no. 081. Circa 2005. 18k white gold (750) wristwatch with chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phases. Round case, ‘mushroom’ pushers, swivelling lugs, signed. White dial, applied ‘stick’ hour markers, luminescent hands and hour markers, 4 subsidiary dials for the calendar, chronograph function and moon phase display, a window between 7 and 8 o’clock for the year display, signed. Signed automatic movement. Signed gold pin buckle. Diameter: 41.5 mm. Gross weight: 92.50 g. With an IWC booklet, a travel pouch and an adjustment stylus. Provenance: A private collector’s collection. Launched in 1985 at the Basel Fair, the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar revolutionised the ease of use of this complication. Thanks to a single crown, which centralises all the calendar function’s adjustments, setting the date is simplified. CONDITION REPORT (for information only): This watch underwent a full service in December 2024 (servicing, polishing, replacement of the crown and crystal). Please note that all watches are sold as is. No guarantee is given as to the watch’s functionality. The watches have been opened to identify the type and quality of the movement, including water-resistant models; the buyer is therefore advised to consult a watchmaker to have the watch’s water resistance checked.
