HERMÈS - PARIS, after Marie-Françoise HÉRON (20th century), printed silk twill square, ‘Navire d’Europe’ design, first edition from 1965, reissued in 1984 and again from 1994 onwards – approx. 90 x 90 cm (very slight soiling at a fold, in good overall condition, with its box) COMMENT: this scarf was based on the print “Tableau des bâtiments de guerre, mixtes et bateaux à vapeur d’Europe” by Charles LEDUC (1831–1911) and Théodore Veloppé, held at the Musée National de la Marine.
