Charles (1907–1978) and Ray (1912–1988) EAMES – Manufactured by NORTHFIELD METAL PRODUCTS, WATERLOO (ONTARIO, CANADA), Rare Canadian edition of the ‘Lounge Chair’ and its ottoman, models 670 and 671 in rosewood veneer upholstered in black tufted leather, models originally designed in 1956, examples from the 1970s, manufacturer’s labels under the seat – H. 97.5 cm, W. 82 cm, D. 60 cm approx. (armchair) – 40.5 cm x 55 cm x 64.5 cm approx. (ottoman) (very slight scratches on the leather of the armrests, signs of wear and small stains on the leather; the tuft buttons are missing from the ottoman and the seat of the armchair; a few circular covers are missing; in good overall condition)
