ALPES-MARITIMES (06) – MENTON “PONT SAINT LOUIS, near Menton”. 19th century. Original DRAWING (probably by Félix Benoist (1818–1896)) in graphite on vellum paper. Inscribed “Pont St Louis près / Menton” in pencil in the bottom right-hand corner. Bearing a dry stamp reading “M. POTTIN in Nantes / invention and refinement / peeled paper / two-tone canvas”. Provenance: Collection of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 23.5 x 18.8 cm. Condition A (in excellent condition).
