ALPES-MARITIMES (06) – “NICE, view from the Château terrace”. 19th century. Original DRAWING (probably by Félix Benoist) in graphite and highlighted with white gouache, on brown vellum paper. Inscribed “Nice, view from the Château terrace” in pencil in the bottom left-hand corner. Provenance: From the collection of the Charpentier studio, run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 22.8 x 31.2 cm. Condition A (in excellent condition).
