ILLE-ET-VILAINE (35) – “Chêne Vert, MORDREUC and Pleudihen-sur-Rance, Banks of the Rance”. 19th century. Original DRAWING (probably by Félix Benoist (1818–1896)) in graphite on mounted China paper. Inscribed “Chêne vert – Mordreuc and Pleudihen / banks of the Rance” in pencil in the bottom right-hand corner. Provenance: From the collection of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 25.5 x 35.2 cm. Condition A (a few faint foxing spots on the edges of the sheet, not affecting the subject; otherwise in fine condition).
