MORBIHAN (56) – “AURAY”. 19th century. Original DRAWING (probably by Félix Benoist (1818–1896)) in graphite on vellum paper. Inscribed “Auray” in pencil in the bottom left-hand corner. Provenance: From the collection of the Charpentier workshop, run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 23.7 x 32 cm. Condition B (a tear at the top of the sheet which does not affect the subject; otherwise in good overall condition).
