MORBIHAN (56) – “SAINT AVE near VANNES”. 19th century. Original DRAWING (probably by Félix Benoist (1818–1896)) in graphite, on unbleached vellum paper. Inscribed “St Avé near Vannes” in pencil in the bottom right-hand corner. Provenance: From the collection of the Charpentier workshop, run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 22.3 x 30.5 cm. Condition A (small pinhole on the top edge, in good condition).
