VAR (83) – TOULON – OZANNE – “The Old Port of Toulon, seen from the painting studio”. 1776. Etching and burin engraving by Y. Le Gouac (1742–1816), after a drawing by Nicolas OZANNE (1728–1811). Proof with letter, on laid paper, bearing the address “In Paris at Le Gouaz the Engraver, Rue St Hyacinthe, the first carriage entrance on the left off Place St Michel”. Copperplate margins. 22 x 31 cm. Condition A/B (truncated at the edge of the copperplate mark, two minute creases within the subject and rare, faint foxing in the margins).
