Printed and published by Aubert & Cie. As the newspaper had left its old, archaic premises on Rue Montmartre to move to Rue de Valois, Daumier has piled onto the cart—already crammed with collections of newspapers—the famous sea serpent and various jars of sensational news stories. 35 x 51.5 cm. Condition A/B (slight vertical creases, two short tears in the lower margin, a few faint foxing spots at the margins).
