TURKEY – MELLING – ISTANBUL – “View of the First Courtyard of the Seraglio” (View of the First Courtyard, also known as the Janissary Courtyard or the Ceremonial Courtyard). 1819. Etching engraved by PILLEMENT and LE ROUGE, finished by Née, after Antoine Ignace MELLING (1763–1831). Proof with letter, on vellum paper.
