Schmidt, Arno A collection of three typewritten letters, each bearing a handwritten signature, addressed to Harald Ebner, director of Karl Rauch Verlag. Darmstadt, 13 June, 1 July and 4 September 1956. 2 pages on 2 sheets and 2 x 1 page on 1 sheet, 15 x 21 cm (1) and 29.7 x 21 cm. Each bears the publisher’s receipt stamp. – Concerns, in particular, negotiations regarding Schmidt’s collaboration on a ‘truly great edition of Poe’, but subject to two conditions: a) I must be able to select the pieces myself … and I must be able to devote a considerable amount of time to it.
