A Bronze tripod incense burner with elephants, dragons, and the eight symbols of auspiciousness (Ashtamangala), 18th/19th century.
Bronze, with traces of gilding.
Mounted on three elephant heads. Handles and knob in the shape of dragons.
Finished with the eight Buddhist symbols of auspiciousness or Ashtamangala: The Precious Umbrella (Chattra), The Golden Fish (Suvarnamatsya), The White Conch Shell (Sankha), The Treasure Vase (Bumpa), The Lotus Flower (Padma), The Infinite Knot (Srivatsa), The Victory Banner (Dhwaja), and The Dharma Wheel (Dharmachakra).
