See original version (French)

Estimate €20,000 - €50,000
Description
FULL-SCALE RECONSTRUCTION of La Mora in high-quality oak. Length: 34 metres. The keel consists of extensions, the bow (curved section) and the stem (then the bow head). Sloping section carved in steps. It is decorated with a mock skeleton using templates to visually recreate the volumes. And a row of planks, the sides of the boat. Cost: €1,000,000. Raw materials: 30% Labour: 70%. Note: To ensure the vessel remains seaworthy, maintenance requires a weekly coat of linseed oil and filling of cracks. The value of the project is reduced to nothing: Constant maintenance, complete dismantling, transport and storage prove from the outset to be too costly to preserve the ship’s intrinsic characteristics.
