Description
“Voisin Aircraft”.
The mascot, ironically nicknamed “la cocotte”, is said to have been designed by the artist Lejeune, a friend of the manufacturer who shared his philosophy: to reduce weight. Hence the choice of a piece of cut-out and riveted aluminium foil, perfectly suited to this objective. What was to become the brand’s emblem was unveiled for the first time at the 1923 Motor Show. Throughout this period, it formed an integral and functional part of the radiator cap.
