Launched in 1986, the Renault 4 "Savane" is one of the most iconic versions from the final years of the legendary Quatrelle. It stands out for its slightly rugged look, recognisable by its decorative side stripes and sporty open-spoke alloy wheels. Under the bonnet, it features the famous 956 cc Cléon engine, renowned for its robustness and excellent fuel economy. Practical, reliable and economical, the 1986 Savane is now a safe bet, particularly sought after by enthusiasts of popular cars for its timeless charm and ease of use.
The example presented here left the factory in 1987 and was purchased new by Dr Raymond Bouillié from Renault Tours, before joining our collector’s collection in 2015. It is presented in a beautiful light beige livery and underwent a complete restoration between 2021 and 2022, at a cost of over €15,000. A file of invoices, photos and service records accompanies the vehicle. The odometer currently reads 60,000 km. Please note that the vehicle is awaiting a re-inspection due to an imbalance in the brakes and emissions.
A rare opportunity to acquire the final iteration of a popular French icon, in a rare and well-maintained version.
