Service history and manuals
Comprehensive service records
Collector’s registration document
In 1967, the Silver Shadow convertible was introduced, the result of a new partnership between Rolls-Royce and the London-based coachbuilder H.J. Mulliner Park Ward. Its widely recognised comfort is characterised by the suppleness of its suspension, the quietness of its V8 engine and its equipment (air conditioning, car radio, power steering, electrically adjustable seats, electric soft top, etc.). This Rolls-Royce convertible changed its name in March 1971, dropping the Silver Shadow designation in favour of Corniche. Over time, numerous improvements were made to the model.
Our Corniche II Cabriolet is one of the last to be produced, delivered new by the dealership, British Royal Motorcars in Houston, a Rolls-Royce agent. Its service history indicates that the car was serviced by this same dealership until 1993.
In 2014, the car reappeared in California, where it was serviced within the brand’s network in Los Angeles.
In 2019, its current owner purchased it from the same dealership. Once imported into France, a full service including refurbishment of the soft top and woodwork was carried out at a cost of over €20,000.
In 2025, a major mechanical overhaul was undertaken, including, amongst other things: reconditioning of the cylinder heads, replacement of the cylinder head gasket, replacement of the radiator, and servicing of the fuel injectors.
A symbol of the 1980s on a par with the Testarossa or the 930, this is a distinguished convertible with a timeless look and comfort that remains relevant today, in good condition both in appearance and operation.
