- This bike was distributed by both Motobécane and Motoconfort under two different names (D45 - C45) and was a huge success in its day.
- Its main advantage was its low fuel consumption. This small 125 cm3 engine consumed less than 3 litres per 100 kilometres thanks to its highly economical 4-stroke single-cylinder engine with side valves.
- Although it had three hand-operated gears, it also had a clutch pedal, allowing young drivers to change gear with their left hand.
- In 1949, the new D45S and C45S were fitted with sliding rear suspension and telescopic forks.
