Former Polizia Stradale, still equipped with its siren! - At the beginning of its existence, in 1921, Moto Guzzi was best known for its 500 cm3 horizontal single-cylinder models. Although production also included more classic models such as the small 50cc Guzzino and atypical models such as the Galletto, the big horizontal single was Moto Guzzi's trademark for a long time. - In the aftermath of the Second World War, it was only natural that Moto Guzzi should restart production of its 500 GTV and GTW, but the need for a new model was soon felt, and in 1950 the Falcone made its appearance. - With an engine that benefited from the experience acquired with the Dandolino racing cars and the 250 Airone touring cars, the Falcone was equipped with a tall, all-aluminium engine with enclosed valves and still the external flywheel that earned it the affectionate nickname of 'ham cup'. - Produced in both civilian and military versions for 17 years, the Falcone remains one of the archetypes of the classic Italian motorbike, and its exemplary reliability, as well as its easy maintenance, make it perfectly suited to touring. - This example would have been a member of the Italian Polizia Stradale, and is equipped with a siren and a cartridge belt (occasionally replaced by a second seat). - At the beginning of its existence in 1921, Moto Guzzi was primarily known for its 500 cc horizontal single-cylinder motorbikes. Its exceptional reliability and easy maintenance make it perfectly suited for riding and touring. - This particular example is believed to have been in service with the Italian Polizia Stradale and is equipped with a siren and cartridge holder (occasionally replaced by a second seat).
