- Building on its success in Formula 1, Renault unveiled the Spider at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. Its aluminium structure was powered by the Clio Williams' 2-litre 4-cylinder engine developing 150 bhp. The cabin was reduced to its simplest form, with two Recaro bucket seats and an adjustable pedal unit.
- Ordered by its current owner on 17 February 1997 from the Renault Lyon-Sud branch, our Spider is painted in a rare sporty red. Only 108 of the 1,653 Spiders built feature this colour.
- Regularly serviced, it benefited from a major overhaul prior to sale, including replacement of the timing belt. The Trophy version features an OST stainless steel exhaust system, a soft top and a tonneau cover.
- It comes with an extensive file including the order form, the purchase invoice, the maintenance booklet, the user manuals, the spare keys, numerous invoices and its small aluminium case, which is often missing.
- A collector's item from the outset, this small car dedicated entirely to driving pleasure has been very well preserved.
