The Only Production Ferrari Designed by Bertone and Marcello Gandini - Presented at the 1973 Paris Motor Show, the 308 GT4 replaced the Dino 246 GT and marked a real break in the history of the Maranello-based manufacturer. The first road-going Ferrari with a V8 engine in a central rear position, it represented the technical turning point of a new era. It was also the only production Ferrari designed by the Bertone coachbuilder and by the talented Marcello Gandini, who also designed the Lamborghini Miura and Countach. - Under its bonnet sits the 3-litre F106A V8, delivering 255 bhp. Coupled with Ferrari's famous manual gearbox with exposed grille, this transversely-mounted engine gave the GT4 impressive performance for its time. According to its history, this car has had three owners, a certain Mr André Jacques, followed by Mr Huffich, then Mr Michel Charles Wild in 1984, before reaching its current owner in 1993. The latter purchased it from First Automobiles in Strasbourg and had it repainted in this very elegant Blu Scuro colour. - Today, this Dino 308 GT4 has just over 85,000 km on the clock. After more than three decades of attentive care, a major overhaul was carried out just before the sale, including replacement of the timing belts, rollers and tensioners, as well as oil changes and filter replacements. The clutch disc was relined and the running gear was also checked, with brake pads and tyres replaced. - All in all, the car looks and runs very well. The paintwork retains a deep shine and the alignments are precise. The interior has recently been restored. Sold with its jack and original pouch containing all its manuals, this car is well worth a look!
