1973 - Ford Capri 2600 RS French registration title French registration title Chassis n° GCECNJ20953 Rare Capri 2600 RS sold new in France, same owner since 1989 Rare Capri 2600 RS sold new in France, same owner since 1989 - Introduced in 1970, the Ford Capri 2600 RS was powered by a 2.6-litre V6 with mechanical fuel injection and 150 bhp. Weighing in at just 1,080 kg, with strengthened suspension, corrected running gear and an optional self-locking axle, its performance was resolutely sporty. - Competitive success was not long in coming, and the Capri 2600 RS went on to forge its legend at the highest level. It won the European Touring Car Championship in 1971 and 1972. - Originally from France, our car entered its owner's collection in 1989, and has now clocked up 79,300 km. Originally a Sebring Red, its bodywork was repainted after its purchase. Today, the car looks as good as new, but there are traces of corrosion in places. - The interior is in its original condition, with velour bucket seats bearing the RS logo, a leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel and a vintage car radio. Occasionally used in recent years, the car is due for an overhaul, and its V6 is coded UYC. - Produced in just 3,532 examples, the 2600 RS is the most sought-after model in the range. Eligible for numerous historic events such as the Tour Auto, the Monte Carlo Historique and the Le Mans Classic, this model provides an excellent basis for preparing a competition car. Introduced in 1970, the Ford Capri 2600 RS was equipped with a 2.6-litre V6 engine with mechanical fuel injection developing 150 bhp. The interior is in its original condition, featuring RS-branded velour bucket seats, a leather-covered three-spoke steering wheel and a period car radio. Used occasionally in recent years, it will need to be serviced. Note that its V6 engine bears the code UYC. With only 3,532 units produced, the 2600 RS is the most sought-after model in the range.
