Less expensive than its sister, the GTI, it was nonetheless well equipped and, above all, powered by a lively engine. Under the bonnet were the 85 bhp engines from the 205 XT and the old 104 ZS. - Bought new in January 1986 by Franck's grandfather, he used it on a daily basis until the odometer showed over 300,000 km! For the record, Franck learned to drive in this car. - When the owner's house was sold in 2021, he got the car back and started it up again, even though it had been sitting in the garden for several years. - With several DIY sessions, various videos can be viewed on the channel of our friend, the car restarts and will even be present at the 40 years of the 205 in Sochaux in October 2023. - Today the GT would be an ideal base for restoration, it's complete and the engine still works perfectly! But rust has taken its toll, and many areas of the bodywork need to be rebuilt. - The Peugeot 205 GT was the road-going, sporty version of the 5-door 205.
