Launched in 1946, the VéloSolex is distinguished by its small motor placed above the front wheel, which is driven by a roller. Economical, easy to use and accessible to all, the Solex was a huge popular success, becoming a symbol of mobility. More than eight million were produced before production ceased at the end of the 1980s.
The Solex 3800 is one of the most emblematic models in the range. Marketed from the end of the 1960s, it is powered by a 49cc two-stroke engine. Appreciated for its mechanical simplicity, low fuel consumption and robustness, it could reach speeds of around 25 km/h.
Fully restored and retrofitted by Millésime Drive, this Solex is brand new. Equipped with a 440 W electric motor and a 672 Wh battery, it has a range of up to 30 km. With a top speed of 30 km/h, it can be fully recharged in 4 hours. It is type-approved and comes with a valid vehicle registration document.
It retains all the charm of its original design thanks to a subtle modification. The electric motor is integrated into the internal combustion engine and its power is transmitted to the front wheel via a roller, as in the original design. The battery on the luggage rack is removable so that it can be recharged from a mains socket.
