Description
1937 - Simca 5 Chassis no. 014696 French registration Sold without technical inspection "In the same family since 1939, an exemplary restoration In 1934, a certain Henri Pigozzi, a Franco-Italian industrialist, founded the Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile (SIMCA). To launch his company, he simultaneously obtained a licence to produce the Fiat 500 Topolino in France. Production ran from 1936 to 1949, with three main versions: saloon, cabriolet and van. In all, almost 46,000 examples were produced, democratising the car in France. Our example arrived in 1939 at the home of the B. family in Savoie. As its chassis plate and badges indicate, this Simca 5 is indeed a French model. Brought out of the family barn in 2015 by the owner's grandson, it subsequently received an exemplary full restoration, documented in a blog available on request. Today, the car is in simply stunning condition: the bodywork is beautiful, the colour very elegant (oscillating between navy blue and English green depending on the light), the upholstery is of very good quality, as is the soft top. It's been out of action for a year, and simply needs a service before it can be driven again with peace of mind. This car is in absolutely stunning condition, reflecting the love it has received from its current owner!
