"Beautiful condition, very attractive valuation".
In 1965, Chevrolet launched the Caprice as a top-of-the-range version of the Impala. The idea was simple: to offer a more luxurious car than the Impala without the price tag of a Cadillac.
For the 1967 model year, four body styles were available: Sport Sedan (4-door hardtop), Station Wagon, 4-door saloon, and the very elegant Custom Coupe (2-door hardtop).
Our example is in this trim, by far the most elegant and sporty! As its nameplate indicates, this Caprice is built in Canada. According to the information given to the seller, it spent its entire life there, before being imported in 2017 to Alsace, the region where it still resides.
Today, the bodywork shows the signs of an old restoration of fairly good quality, and the upholstery is very nice. Traces of surface corrosion are nevertheless visible. Our road test showed us that, despite being immobilised in the last year, the car runs quite well. A regular service, particularly of the running gear, is recommended.
Offered at a very reasonable price, this Caprice is a great opportunity for an American car enthusiast looking to enter the world of collecting!
