Description
1987 - BMW 325i Convertible Chassis no. WBABB310401829874 French registration "Sumptuous colour combination, recent restoration with no cost limit". - The BMW 3 Series E30 Convertible appeared at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show and caused an immediate sensation: it was the first time that the Bavarian firm had returned to the convertible segment since the 1960s with the 1600. Over its seven-year career, the E30 Cabriolet was available with four different engines: 318i, 320i, 325i and M3. - Our example is powered by the 170 bhp 6-cylinder engine of the 325i version, coupled to the manual gearbox, and features a number of rare and interesting options, including BBS wheels, the M-Technic steering wheel, heated front seats and a cassette storage system! Its invoice file, dating back to 2013, shows that in 2015 the bodywork was completely restored to its beautiful and rare original Malachitgrün-metallic colour, and the upholstery was upgraded to a slightly darker shade for the occasion (photos on file). - In 2023, the current owner decided to give this 325i an almost complete mechanical overhaul. On the menu: overhaul of the engine, gearbox, running gear, braking system and wiring harness. More than €14,000 will be invested to bring the 325i up to standard! - Today, the car is in very good overall condition: the bodywork is very nice (very good quality paintwork!), the upholstery is free from any obvious defects, and the mechanical parts are in perfect condition! The only fault noted by its current owner is the zipper on the rear window of the soft top, which can be temperamental... The car comes with its original owner's manual, three sets of keys and its complete original tool kit. - 325i Cabriolet manual gearboxes in fine condition are becoming increasingly rare on the market, and for good reason... These are cars of rare versatility and nobility, which never leave their owners' garages! They're a must-buy before prices rocket...
