Description
1987 - Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Chassis no. WDB1260451A295400 French registration In France since 1993, just over 150,000 km, lots of recent work: definitely one of the most beautiful 560 SECs on the market! In 1981, Mercedes-Benz replaced the SLC Coupé with the SEC Coupé, which shared many of the mechanical elements of the new S-Class, but also its advantageous platform in terms of space, roadholding and the elegance of its bodywork. A symbol of tradition, robustness and innovation, this new model will restore the reputation of the Grand Touring Coupé so dear to Mercedes. Unlike the SLC version and the competition at the time, it offers four real seats. Focusing on prestige and driving pleasure, Mercedes equipped it with different versions of its V8 (3.8 l, 4.2 l, 5 l, 5.6 l), as well as numerous innovations (electric seats with memory positions, automatically advancing seat belts to assist the driver and front passenger)... The car illustrated in these pages was sold new in Italy in January 1987, via the Mercedes garage in Ancona, on the Adriatic coast, with air conditioning, radio, aluminium wheels and electric driver's seat. It arrived in France in 1993, in Touraine. Its service book was stamped with just over 100,000 km in 1996. The odometer was replaced in 2011, at just over 140,000 km, and now shows just over 12,000 km. The current owner purchased the car in 2020 and has since carried out a number of works: air conditioning compressor, fuel system, full ignition, new brakes, stainless steel exhaust system, suspension, and new upholstery and paintwork. The result is a 560 SEC in rare condition. Only the sunroof and automatic driver's seatbelt need to be revised for the most demanding customers.
