Description
1977 - Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 Chassis no. 9117600121 Spanish registration Only 2,546 examples, a rare and sought-after version, just serviced. The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 was launched in 1976 to replace the Carrera 2.7. It was powered by a 3-litre, 200 bhp engine derived from the 911 Turbo, offering more torque and excellent reliability. Despite having less power than its predecessor, it was still a high-performance car. Only 3,651 examples were produced in 2 years, including 2,546 coupés and 1,105 Targas, and in 1978 it was replaced by the 911 SC. Recognisable by its specific "Carrera 3.0" monogram, this version was often fitted with Fuchs wheels or an optional spoiler. Appreciated for its balance and driving pleasure, the Carrera 3.0 represents an important step in the evolution of the Porsche 911. Its flexible engine and 915 gearbox make it an enjoyable car to drive, whether for leisurely strolls or sportier driving. This car was sold new in Germany and imported into Spain in 1982 by the Hanstein Porsche dealership in Pamplona. The bodywork has been repainted in the past in its original Indian Red colour. Inside, the dashboard, upholstery and door panels are well preserved. With 120,500 km on the clock, our car underwent a mechanical service in March at specialist Nou Onze in Barcelona. The engine was restored around 7,000 km ago. Ready to hit the road, this 911 matching numbers is sure to appeal to Porsche enthusiasts looking for a rare and emblematic model. Please note that the vehicle's date of first registration, as shown on the Spanish registration document, is 1981.
