"Rare V6 Turbo, low mileage, present logbook and sublime Fleischmann kit: a first-class GTA!
Introduced in 1984, the Alpine GTA (for Grand Tourisme Alpine) was the successor to the A310, with its obvious family resemblance. It was designed in the same way as its predecessors, with a beam chassis onto which was grafted a body made of synthetic materials, and a V6 PRV engine available in two versions (naturally-aspirated and turbocharged) installed in the rear overhang.
Developed by Heuliez, the lines of this new Alpine offer exceptional aerodynamics. Alpine intends to present a complete GTA range. Starting with the V6 GT, then the V6 Turbo the following year and the Europa Cup, designed for one-make races organised as a curtain-raiser to the European Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Despite its various versions, the Alpine GTA never caught on. Sales have barely passed the 6,000 mark since its launch.
This car was sold new in Germany via the Renault dealership in Heidenheim. In 1990, its owner entrusted the car to Fleischmann, a German tuning company, who had put together a superb kit, with revised suspension and - above all - an incredible, beastly body kit with special BBS wheels (in 345 at the rear!).
The car was little used and exported to Belgium in the early 2020s, as its service booklet, stamped with up to 28,000 km, attests. Today, the odometer shows just under 30,500 km, which appears to be original. A few minor cosmetic defects will need to be corrected for the more demanding.
