"Sold new by Royal Elysées.
The E-Type shown here is a 1.5 series model sold new in France by Royal Elysées. Launched in June 1966, it never left France.
In line with all European versions, it was fitted with the 4.2 with 3 carburettors. The engine produced 265 bhp, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
The Jaguar was painted in the superb Opalescent Marroon colour and the interior was finished in brown leather. The last owner bought the car in 2001 when it was in the Tarn region of France.
He never stopped taking care of it, and numerous invoices are on file. The engine was rebuilt once. Following a period of downtime, the E-Type was given a major overhaul in March 2022.
Today, it is in magnificent condition, with paintwork defects that make it endearing. As we know, this patina is inimitable.
