Faithful replica of Johnny Hallyday's TR3A, over €25,000 worth of work carried out since 2022.
The Triumph TR3A embodies the golden age of British roadsters. Produced between 1957 and 1962, it was an incredible success in the UK and the USA. Its timeless styling, distinctive grille and simple lines perfectly reflect the sporting spirit of the 1950s.
Powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder engine, it offers a lively, authentic driving experience. Its low weight, robust mechanics and dynamic handling provide a pure driving sensation that is particularly appreciated by classic car enthusiasts.
The car's history dates back to 1988, when it was acquired by its previous owner. It was kept by its previous owner until 2016, when it was sold to its current owner. It has thus remained in the Haute-Garonne region for almost forty years.
Between 2016 and 2017, a major mechanical overhaul was carried out at a cost of more than €4,000. The car has been driven very little since then. It then benefited from a major cosmetic restoration that took place between 2022 and 2024 in the Artole bodywork workshops. More than €25,000 was invested in this project.
A fan of Johnny Hallyday, its owner wanted to create an exact replica of the TR3A, registration number 15 LJ 75, which the singer had received as an 18th birthday present. The bodywork was restored and given a new cream paint finish. Long-range headlights have been integrated into the grille. The passenger compartment was fitted with new blue leather upholstery with white piping and matching carpets. Preserved in very good condition, this beautiful example will delight British roadster enthusiasts. There is an administrative error in the 2nd letter of the chassis number on the registration document (B instead of S).
