Description
SIAM, petrol pump
An old SIAM (or SATAM) petrol pump with its two 5-litre glass tanks (or tubes) is a sought-after vintage collector’s item; this is a pedestal-mounted model.
It is topped by two graduated 5-litre glass tubes or cylinders used to measure the fuel before dispensing. It is very heavy, weighing around 100 kilos.
These models, which generally date from the 1930s, are prized as decorative features in retro garages, lofts or museums.
