Description
FIAT 500 – Type 110 F – Year 1962 Year: 01/01/1962 Chassis number: 1395128 Model: 110 F Vehicle registration document: in order MOT: passed Condition: roadworthy History: In 1962, the version produced by Fiat was technically the Fiat 500 D, type 110, and not yet the 500 F which was launched in 1965, despite the fact that the engine code is indeed the famous 110 F block. The engine is a 499 cm³ twin-cylinder unit producing 17 chevaux, and on these models the doors are generally of the so-called ‘suicide’ type, or the more conventional normal-opening type. Most of these Fiats are fitted with waterproof fabric sunroofs. The gearbox is a 4-speed unit, the brakes are drum brakes, and on all classic models the stated top speed is 95 kilometres per hour. There were six production series, beginning in 1961, with the last models released in 1976; however, the first test runs took place as early as 1957. Condition: The Fiat 500 shown here has undergone a major restoration, including a new soft top, the addition of seat belts, a new battery and a new fan; the engine has been completely rebuilt using parts supplied by 500 Passion, and a luggage roof rack has been fitted to the rear boot. The car is in excellent condition.
