Englebert is a Belgian tyre manufacturer founded in 1877 by Oscar Englebert, who had previously been a rubber goods merchant. It was later renamed Uniroyal, before becoming part of the Continental Group.

We present an exceptional set of three canvases stretched over wooden frames that can be arranged to form a folding screen. Two of them depict a young woman at the wheel and the third a man in a racing suit pointing to the Englebert brand.
The three oil portraits are set within tyres marked ‘Ballon Chevron Cordé Englebert Liège’. Two of them bear reference numbers and are dated 1925 or 1926.
