1960 – Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 Chassis no. HBJ8L/29090 French classic car registration document Vehicle sold without a roadworthiness test ‘Significant recent expenditure, attractive valuation’ The Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III is the final iteration of the British firm’s iconic model, representing the pinnacle of the ‘Big Healeys’ series. The BJ8 versions are distinguished by their modified grille, new dashboard and an engine now producing 148 ch.    The Austin-Healey presented here was first registered in 1965 in the USA. It was imported into France in 2018, having remained with the same owner in the state of Georgia since 1974.   Today, the car has developed a rather attractive patina. The bodywork was refurbished a few years ago and shows a few minor imperfections, as detailed in the condition report. The upholstery, meanwhile, is in very good condition and appears to be largely original.   Mechanically, this particular example runs superbly.
