VF7MANGOOOONG5997 French vehicle registration document ‘Interesting and rare original paintwork’ Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1977, the Citroën CX GTI epitomises the quintessential fast, high-tech French saloon. A sporty variant of the 1975 saloon, it features Bosch L-Jetronic electronic fuel injection on its 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine, producing 128 ch and later 138 ch.   Combining the comfort of the famous hydropneumatic suspension with top-class performance for the time, the GTI stood out visually with its distinctive alloy wheels, fog lights and rear spoiler, and went on to become something of a queen of the motorways.   First registered on 20 December 1983, this Citroën CX 25 GTI (Series 1) has spent most of its life in the Lyon area. It comes with a comprehensive service history spanning several decades, including numerous maintenance invoices, past MOT reports and the original service booklets.    Having been kept in a dry and healthy climate, the bodywork of this CX is in an exceptional state of preservation. Having been exposed to the sun for many years, the bodywork was given a complete exterior repaint in 2025, carried out without the need for any panel beating. The car now boasts its meticulously restored original colour: the extremely rare Chartreuse Green (code AC544), a metallic shade offered for only two model years. This example is rare, with an interior featuring beige fabric upholstery that has also been preserved in superb condition.   Its overall mechanical condition is good; the car has been well maintained and is ready to hit the road.
