Description
Berliet. GBK6, 1963 30-metre automatic turntable ladder belonging to the Douai Fire Brigade Berliet MDX 26 M diesel engine, 6-cylinder, 17 CV (tax rating), 120 chevaux. Odometer reading: “19,661” km (not guaranteed). Double cab: 2 seats at the front and a wooden bench seat at the rear for 4 people. In very good condition and well restored. Vehicle sold without an MOT or any form of warranty. Fittings: - Straight flatbed for a full-rotation swivel ladder, adjustable to all angles; - Behind the axle, on both sides, a hinged door with weather seals providing access to the boot; - On each side of the vehicle, both in front of and behind the axle, there are shelves located at the bottom of the side skirts for storing jack wedges; - At the rear, a vertical control panel for the hydraulic system that locks the rear suspension and lowers the jacks; - Upper platform comprising removable sections made of thick, corrosion-resistant light-alloy sheet metal; - Between the cab and the front of the load bed, a ladder rack mounted on the chassis. Locking mechanism for road-going position; - Four-section ladder made from closed-section special steel profiles; - Hydraulic control of the movement mechanisms, ensuring smooth operation and precise execution; - A swivelling turret comprising a sturdy steel frame, integral at its base with a circular plate fitted internally with two superimposed raceways, the balls of which rest above and below a fixed toothed ring, integral with the chassis. A hydraulic drive motor, integral with the turret and capable of reversing the direction of rotation, controlled from the operator’s station, enables the turret to be moved continuously in the desired direction; - One-piece lifting frame made of heavy-gauge steel plate, assembled by welding: raising and lowering controlled from the driver’s cab; - Four-section ladder rack. Equipment: 4 suction hoses, 1 strainer, 1 float, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 ladder nozzle and 1 maintenance kit.
