Description
Honda Z50 A Monkey – c. 1972 Frame number: Z50A-200604 Engine number: Z50AE-397396 Odometer reading: 1,415 km (not guaranteed) 49 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, 3-speed semi-automatic gearbox. First produced in 1961 as the Z100 and intended for Japanese race paddocks and amusement parks, this astonishing little machine, which makes its rider look like a ‘monkey’, was type-approved and became road-legal from 1963 onwards in its CZ100 version. It wasn’t until 1969 that the Z50 A, featuring front suspension and 8-inch wheels, appeared in the Japanese manufacturer’s catalogue. This example is in good condition, requires restarting, and had its last MOT in April 2025. French collector’s registration certificate, first registered on 1 April 1972. All vehicles in this sale – motorbikes, mopeds and scooters – are sold as seen, as presented in the catalogue, non-running and without a roadworthiness test, and require at the very least a service to get them running again, and possibly restoration before use, unless otherwise stated. NB: The successful bidder acknowledges that the acceptance of a registration application is at the sole discretion of the ANTS and that Boisseau-Pomez cannot guarantee the approval of any application submitted. Consequently, Boisseau-Pomez cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from a refusal to register the vehicle, whatever the cause.
