Description
Honda CBX 400 F2 – c. 1983 Frame number: NC07-2007487 Engine number: NC07E-1049601 Odometer reading: 23,855 km (not guaranteed) 399 cc, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, 16-valve engine with 6-speed gearbox. Japanese motorcyclists still have a real cult following for this bike, much like the Suzuki GT 380 from the 1970s with its 3-cylinder, 2-stroke engine. A true ‘little speedster’ with a displacement of under 400 cc, a 16-valve engine and inboard brakes, it was produced for four years, primarily for the domestic market, alongside its bigger sister, the CBX 550. This F2 version is in good overall condition, despite some signs of a fall on the right-hand side. It has JAMA aftermarket exhaust silencers; the engine is not seized but requires restoration to working order. All vehicles in this sale – motorbikes, mopeds and scooters – are sold ‘as is’, as presented in the catalogue, non-roadworthy and without a roadworthiness certificate, and require at the very least a service, and possibly restoration before use, unless otherwise stated. This vehicle does not have a registration certificate. NB: The successful bidder acknowledges that the acceptance of a registration application is at the sole discretion of the ANTS and that Boisseau-Pomez cannot guarantee the approval of any application submitted. Consequently, Boisseau-Pomez cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from a refusal to register the vehicle, whatever the cause.
