Voluntary lot
Description
Royal Enfield 350 – c. 1937
Frame number: 28007
Engine number: H10512
Gearbox number: HT572
350 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, side-valve engine with 4-speed gearbox.
Founded in England in 1893, Royal Enfield established itself as one of the UK’s leading motorcycle manufacturers, producing both civilian and military models, and supplying troops during both World Wars. Following several takeovers, production was permanently relocated to India in the early 1990s.
This is an incomplete example in need of restoration; the engine is not seized. It is fitted with a sidecar, the body of which is attributed to the French manufacturer Bufflier, with a bespoke adaptation to a leaf-spring suspension chassis.
The vehicle is sold without a registration certificate.
All vehicles in this sale – motorbikes, mopeds and scooters – are sold as seen, as presented in the catalogue, non-roadworthy and without a roadworthiness certificate, and require at the very least a service to make them roadworthy again, and possibly restoration before use, unless otherwise stated.
NB: The successful bidder acknowledges that the approval of a registration application is at the sole discretion of the ANTS and that Boisseau-Pomez cannot guarantee the approval of any application submitted. Consequently, Boisseau-Pomez cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from a refusal of registration, whatever the cause.
