History:
In 1958, Fordson tractors were becoming significantly more powerful than their competitors. This development proved highly lucrative, as these later Fordson models were the culmination of research that would lead to the subsequent 3000/4000/5000 series, etc.The lift mechanism and its load-sensing control, which – as with Massey Ferguson – allowed the soil to be worked to a consistent depth and, above all, effortlessly. Another innovation was the development of certain models towards the end of this range’s production run, where a front axle could be fitted; this was already providing ideas for the future.

The model presented here is a barn find that can be restored or used as a source of spare parts. Some components are missing, including the silencer and part of the hitches, the third point and the couplings. It also comes with a Power Major-type front wheel.
