Robust, elegant and exceptionally reliable, it quickly established itself as one of Volvo’s most iconic models and played a major part in building the brand’s reputation for durability. The P1300 version is fitted with the renowned Volvo B20 two-litre four-cylinder engine, known for its exceptional durability and ease of maintenance. Paired with a manual gearbox, it offers an excellent driving experience whilst retaining the reliability that made Volvos of the 1960s so famous. With several hundred thousand units produced up until 1970, the Amazon is now a safe bet amongst classic European saloons, prized as much for its timeless elegance as for its ease of restoration.
