The first Rolls-Royce model to feature a monocoque body, independent suspension on all four wheels and a high-pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroën, it ushered in a new generation of large saloons combining exceptional comfort with cutting-edge technology. Powered by the famous 6.75-litre Rolls-Royce V8, paired with a General Motors automatic gearbox, the Silver Shadow offers a supremely smooth ride, true to the brand’s reputation. With over 30,000 units produced up until 1980, it remains today one of the most affordable and sought-after Rolls-Royce models amongst collectors. Description: This 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is fitted with the 6,750 cm³ Rolls-Royce V8 engine, paired with an automatic gearbox. The bodywork is in poor condition and will require a complete restoration. The paintwork shows numerous imperfections, scratches and old touch-ups. Several areas of corrosion are visible, particularly on the sills, the lower parts of the wheel arches and the wheel arches themselves.
