1976 JAGUAR XJ6 SERIES II – History: Unveiled in 1973, the Jaguar XJ Series II succeeded the first-generation XJ designed by Sir William Lyons. Regarded as one of the finest luxury saloons of its era, it combined remarkable comfort with benchmark handling. The XJ6 version is powered by the famous XK straight-six engine, available in either 3.4-litre or 4.2-litre variants, offered with either a manual gearbox or a Borg-Warner automatic transmission. Description: The vehicle is being presented fresh from storage following a long period of inactivity. The bodywork appears complete and retains its original finish in an elegant dark green metallic shade, which is not the original colour (brown). However, several signs of rust are visible, particularly on the rear bumper, some engine bay mountings and various bodywork components, including the front and rear windscreen surrounds. The beige leather upholstery is complete and in good condition despite showing a slight patina from use. The wood trim, centre console, door panels and front and rear seats are all present.
