1979 PORSCHE 928 – History: Unveiled in late 1977, the Porsche 928 marked a turning point in the history of the Stuttgart-based manufacturer. Originally designed as the successor to the 911, it featured a completely new layout with a front-mounted V8 engine and a rear-mounted gearbox based on the transaxle principle, ensuring excellent weight distribution. Voted European Car of the Year 1978 – a first for a sports car – the 928 won admirers with its comfort, technology and performance. This first generation was powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine producing 240 ch, Description: The vehicle is being presented fresh from storage following a long period of inactivity.
