Description
TRIUMPH HERALD COUPÉ – History:
The Triumph Herald Coupé was launched in 1959 as the saloon version of the Triumph Herald, a model designed by Giovanni Michelotti. Built on a separate chassis and featuring a tilting bonnet offering excellent access to the engine, it stands out for its elegance and simplicity of design. Produced until 1964, the Herald Coupé is now prized by British car enthusiasts for its distinctive styling and the ready availability of spare parts.
Description:
The vehicle is being offered after a long period in storage. No documentation detailing its history accompanies the vehicle.
This Triumph Herald Coupé is being sold without any registration documents. The chassis number shown on the manufacturer’s plate is BGA 29433 LCP and the body number is YAT1979.
The bodywork is complete but shows perforating corrosion in various places, particularly on the structural components and the sills. The tilting bonnet is present, as are most of the mechanical components.
The engine compartment is relatively complete and retains its carburettor-fed Triumph four-cylinder engine. The main mechanical components are present but show significant rust due to a long period of inactivity.
In its current condition, this Herald requires a complete restoration and may also be suitable as a parts car.
The vehicle is sold without any registration documents, logbook or service manual.
