Description
DAIMLER V8 2.5 1964 – History:
The Daimler 2.5 V8 is one of Daimler’s most iconic models from the 1960s. Based on the Jaguar Mk2, it differs from it in its distinctive grille, its more luxurious finish and, above all, its remarkable 2.5-litre V8 engine, designed by Edward Turner. Renowned for its comfort, refinement and performance, it is now a sought-after British classic.
Description:
This Daimler 2.5 V8 is offered in the condition in which it was found following a long period of storage.
The bodywork is complete but requires a full restoration. It shows significant corrosion, with several areas of perforation visible on the body panels, sills, floor panels and various structural components.
The engine compartment is complete and appears to retain its original engine. No mechanical tests have been carried out and the vehicle has not been started.
The interior is complete but in very poor condition. The leather is heavily worn and torn, the woodwork is badly damaged and the entire interior will require a complete restoration.
The vehicle comes with its original British registration certificate (V5) and an old purchase invoice. However, the current owner has never registered the vehicle in their name.
Customs clearance, including payment of VAT, will be required before the vehicle can be registered in its new country. This Daimler is intended for a complete restoration or could serve as a parts car.
